1. How often do stock prices update?
To keep data costs to a minimum, price lookups are updated three times a day. However, portfolio prices can be refreshed at any time using the Refresh button or by opening the Deep Look-Through feature.
2. How often are financial statements updated?
Financials are not currently updated on a fixed routine schedule. We are actively refining our data pipeline to resolve data anomalies in financial statements before rolling out regular, automated updates.
3. When will quarterly financials be released?
We are focusing on perfecting annual financial data before expanding into quarterly filings. Once annual data pipeline improvements are complete, quarterly financial data may be added in a future update.
4. Why are some DCF valuations so far off?
Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) intrinsic value calculations require company-specific adjustments that standard automated models cannot always account for automatically. In particular, if the calculation's start year was a net loss year followed by strong recovery years, the model can produce artificially inflated growth rates and percentage gains. Advanced settings are available to configure the screener to skip negative net income/loss years when calculating growth rates.
5. How can I report missing data or errors?
You can report data issues or missing stocks directly at https://techfinology.us/contact/. We welcome any feedback, comments, or feature suggestions!
6. What makes this stock screener different?
Instead of just using trailing twelve month financial ratios such as price to earnings, price to sales, etc, more advanced metrics are used such as growth rates over a longer period of time or comparing more recent growth rates to historic growth rates. In addition, accelerated growth or declines are show so that if a company is improving the performance or deteriorating, it will be known.
